Used Motability Cars – Why Buy?

Used Motability Cars come with many benefits. They are often in good condition with little to no damage to the interior or exterior, or they could require bodyshop attention to bring them back up to speed – our inspection reports help to identify them. They are ideal stock for trade buyers who want some of the most competitive vehicles on the market.

Benefits of buying an Ex-Motability Car

late & low

Most Motability vehicles come to the end of their lease contract after 3 years with only 1 owner from new, this means that the mileage is generally lower than usual, commonly under the average for their ages, ie 30,000 miles. A low mileage is usually indicative of a better maintained vehicle and less wear to the car in general, it also has more appeal to potential customers on a forecourt.

service history

Used Motability Vehicles often have a full service history. This means it is far easier to track what, if anything, has been maintained on the vehicle and what checks it has been through in its lifetime. The cars are often serviced and maintained at the main dealer of Motability as part of a maintenance plan, so they’re more likely to have a regular service history.

Value

Ex-Motability Cars are competitively priced in the auctions, especially those with refurb required.G3 are the only auction offering mechanical reports to de-risk buying. This means that, as a buyer, you could acquire a 1 owner car for a better price at auction. At our Elite sale we have a Motability Operations rep on the rostrum making instant bid decisions.

Used Motability WAVs- How WAV Auctions Work?

Motability also provides their customers with WAVs, or Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles. These are vehicles that have been specifically adapted to help those with differing levels of ability easily access the freedom a vehicle provides. WAVs are auctioned in the fortnightly Wednesday Specialist Sale. The only physical WAV sale in Yorkshire. We sell all types of Motability WAV, valeted and prepared to the same high standard as all our vehicles at G3.

Passenger

WAV

The adaptations on these vehicles allow people with mobility aids such as a wheelchair to enter a vehicle without removing themselves from their aid. This often presents itself as a wheelchair ramp, equipment inside the WAV to secure a mobility aid, and is often a large vehicle that can easily hold a wheelchair user and other passengers.

This type of WAV make up the majority of the Motability WAVs we sell.

Drive From Wheelchair

WAV

The second type of WAV supplied by Motability has very particular adaptations tailored to each individual user.

These WAVS allow a user in a wheelchair to operate a vehicle independently.

Drive From Wheelchair WAVs are also sold in the Wednesday Specialist Sale, however they make up the minority of WAVs sold at G3.

Why Buy an

Ex-Motability WAV?

All WAVs heading through our auction hall are put through all the same checks that cars and any other vehicles go through, identifying any faults, noting all ability adjustments and valeted to a high standard ready for your forecourt.

Mileage on used Motability WAVs is generally lower in comparison to the age of the vehicle, usually indicating that the vehicle has been better maintained throughout its lifespan, perfect for any WAV buyers.
